Mayocue is a dipping sauce combination of Mayonnaise and BBQ. It's great with fries, nuggets, hot dogs and the like.

I was out of the Heinz version and made my own several times, experimenting with different BBQ and Mayonnaise variations. This is my ultimate Mayocue recipe favorite!
Ingredient Notes
Just 2 ingredients make this Mayocue, but the choice of sauces will take it to the next level!
- Mayonnaise
- BBQ Sauce
I love smokey or spicy BBQ Sauce. I recommend Stubb's, Sweet Baby Ray, Bull's-Eye and Lillie's Q.
Then there is the Bachan's Japanese BBQ Sauce that pairs well with a Japanese Mayonnaise.
Generally, speaking for the mayonnaise, you can either get your favorite mayo brand or try making Mayonnaise from scratch at home. It's just a 5-minute hand blender recipe.
I ended up using a Kewpie Japanese Mayonnaise and a Sweet Baby Rays combo for the recipe pictures.
Process Overview

Serving & Storing
One of my favorite uses for this sauce is as a dipping sauce with small party appetizers.
It changes from the conventional mayo, ketchup choices and keeps your guests entertained and guessing.
Lately, I served Mayocue with the following party appetizers:
- Cocktail Sausage & Meatball Skewer Appetizers
- Mini Pigs in a Blanket
- Little Bacon Wrapped Smokies
- Baked Mozzarella Dough Bites
But, don't limit yourself! This Mayonnaise Barbecue Dipping sauce goes really well with other fun main course meals and snacks, including:
- Potato Fries, Vegetable Fries etc.
- Hot Dogs (my favorite)
- Burger Sauce, instead of the beloved Big Mac Sauce.
- Chicken Nuggets and Tenders. Try with Baked Parmesan Coated Chicken Tenders.
- Inside-Out Sushi Rolls instead of Spicy Sriracha Mayonnaise.
