The fry sauce is everyone's favorite at home because it takes only 2 ingredients, and it tastes great with french fries, wedges, chicken tenders and more.
In Europe, this sauce is known as a Cocktail sauce (which is not related to the American cocktail sauce) or red white sauce.

Ingredient Notes
You will need two ingredients that every sauce lover keeps in the pantry.
- Mayonnaise
- Ketchup
I love classic homemade mayonnaise to make my fry sauce or Dutch Mayonnaise or Japanese Mayonnaise.
Heinz Ketchup is my favorite Ketchup brand, but you are free to choose your favorite Ketchup brand.
Serving
As a kid, I would prepare my fry sauce and proudly announce my new sauce invention. People in Europe have always called it the Cocktail sauce.
I loved this sauce, with all my fries, potato wedges, Frankfurter/Wiener sausages, with chicken tenders, in burgers, with roasted salt and pepper chicken drumsticks, and toasted sandwiches such as the French Croque Monsieur or Italian Paninis.
Storing
You can keep the fry sauce cooled in the refrigerator. If the fry sauce has been prepared with a homemade mayonnaise, use it up the same day.
But store-bought mayonnaise and ketchup can be left in the fridge as per the Best before labels on your condiment bottles.
Keep the Fry Sauce in a jar which you can close with a lid if you want the sauce anytime on demand.
For a party set up, keep the sauce in a small bowl and cover tight with a clean film, so that the cold fridge environment doesn't harden the top layer of your sauce.
