Ingredient Notes
- Apple — Pick your favorite apple variety. I like a crispy, juicy apple variety such as Pink Lady or Gala.
- Banana — Common bananas found in stores are fine, but if you live in a tropical climate, try with more exotic banana varieties for a flavor and nutrition boost.
- Ginger — Fresh ginger roots. The younger and fresher the root, the better.
- Ice — Crushed ice helps thicken your smoothie without having to add dairy to the smoothie.

Apple Banana Smoothie Recipe with Ginger
Ingredients
For the Smoothie:
- 1 Apple with skin!
- 1 Banana use 2 Bananas if they are small
- 1 inch Ginger Fresh fresh and peeled
- Ice cubes
Topping
- Chia Seeds optional
- Banana slices
Instructions
- Wash your apple well. Cut into quarters and discard the seed core. Place it into your blender jar.1 Apple
- Add the peeled banana to the blender jar as well.1 Banana
- Cut the piece of ginger, which you need form the root. Peel your ginger pieces, rinse through water and cut it into slices or cubes.1 inch Ginger Fresh
- Add the ginger to the blender jar with the ice cubes.Ice cubes
- Blend until smooth so that you don't have any fruit pieces left. Use a proper blender like the Vitamix to do that.
- Fill a glass with the smoothie and garnish with fresh banana slices and chia seeds.Chia Seeds, Banana slices
- Enjoy your apple banana smoothie with ginger cooled as soon as possible. The smoothie will turn quickly brown, which is ok.
