    TL;DR

Jello shots are a fun way to get a party going. They are basically alcohol flavored gelatin pieces that you have in one go.

It's like having a liqueur shot, just that Jell-O shots won't get you drunk.

Champagne jellos are a variation of jello shots flavored with bubbly champagne. They can be prepared with prosecco too. The alcohol ratio has to be less, or else the Jell-O won't set.

Fancy gourmet champagne jello shots won't get you tipsy, but they are rich in champagne flavor! The bubbles in the jello shots are formed because champagne is a sparkling wine.

    🔪 How to make it?

Making champagne jello shots is easy. The complicated part is waiting for it to set and the unmolding, but the unmolding is optional (serve them in small cups).

    Step 1

Combine hot water and gelatin powder to a smooth consistency.

    gelatine and water

    Step 2

Add powdered sugar and champagne when the water-gelatin mix has cooled down a bit.

    Combine the mixture very well.

    sugar and champagne

    Step 3

Prepare containers to fill. You can add sugar decorations.

Mix your champagne-flavored gelatin before pouring, and pour equal amounts into each container.

    Leave to stand until set.

1 cup Hot Water, 2 Tablespoon Gelatin Unflavored
    • Wait for the gelatin-water mix to cool a bit and add the powdered sugar and champagne. Mix in as well.

      Sugar Sprinkles
    • Mix your liquid Jell-O shot mixture again before pouring it into the molds or cups.
    • Pour jello shot liquid into molds and cups.
    • Leave the Jell-O shots to stand so that they get set and shape up. This can take 8 hours and sometimes less and sometimes more (depending on the environment temperature).
    • Serve them up in cups (easy way) or unmold and serve. Keep them in a cool place always until serving time because they can melt.

    Serving Ideas

To make champagne jello shots, you can either serve them unmolded or into a container.

As containers, you can use cups, syringes (Halloween effect), and fruit skins to make wedges (that's a bit more complicated).

The easiest way would be to go with a container because unmolding them is a pain in the ass.

But unmolded, nicely shaped, transparent Jell-O shots simply look better and make for a better presentation.

    How to unmold?

If you want to use molds, use flexible silicone molds.

Secondly, to take the Jell-O shots out of the molds, I either recommend placing the molds for 3 seconds into warm water to help them detach easier from the silicon mold walls, or you can freeze them.

Now hear me out! Freezing is actually the smarter option, and that's how I unmold my Jell-O shots with ease.

Just allow your Jell-O shots to set, then place them into the freezer while they sit in the mold, and take them out when they are frozen. They will thaw well too, and you can just serve them up a few hours later.

    FAQs

How long do Jell-O shots take to set?

In a cool environment, Jell-O shots take about 6-8 hours to set.

    How long do they last?

In a covered container in the fridge for about 7 days.

How to make Jell-O shots come out easier?

Place the molds into warm water for 3 seconds, no more than that, or they will melt. That way they will detach from the molds. Don't use detailed molds; plain heart- or square-shaped molds are easier to unmold. Use silicone molds. You can also freeze your Jell-O shots with the molds to take them out easily.

For what occasions to make these Jell-O shots?

Those Jell-O shots are great to surprise family and friends. I think they are great for Christmas, New Year's, Valentine's, a bachelorette party, a wedding, and similar occasions.
