Fall-themed fruits are roasted in a baking dish with brie cheese and then served hot with honey or maple syrup.
These individually baked dishes can be served as a brunch or dessert for a special occasion or to treat yourself.

TL;DR
I just had an epiphany in the grocery store the other day as they were bringing out the first fall harvest-period fruits.
A few sweet and tart fruits baked with creamy melting brie cheese and topped with either honey or maple syrup. And the individual portions are the highlight!
Simple to prepare and full of goodness with balanced flavors and textures, I think it's a fun, aesthetically pleasing dish that is an elegant brunch or dessert idea.

Ingredient Notes
- Fig — Fresh, ripe sweet figs with crispy seeds.
- Apple — Your favorite apple type. I picked a crunchy, juicy, sweet variety, Pink Lady, as it retains its shape during the baking process.
- Plums — I used smaller plums so that they fit into the dish. I also like tart plums to add a tangy element to the dish, but you can use sweet plums, purple or yellow too.
- Brie — I love brie with green peppercorns, it tastes better. You can get plain brie or other flavored brie too.
- Cinnamon — Ground. Because it complements the fall theme.
- Honey or Maple Syrup — We used maple syrup in the video, but honey is a great option as well, or coconut flower nectar.
- Grapes — A bunch of green, red, or purple grapes. These are not baked but rather added at the end, just before serving, to add an element of freshness to the dish.

Process Overview
Step 1
Prepare your fresh fruits. Cut off the fig top and quarter it. Cut out the apple seed core and cut it into chunks, and cut the plums in two to take out the seeds.
Arrange these fruits in a baking dish (keep a space for the fresh grapes, which will be added after baking).

Step 2
Cut out Brie cheese wedges and place them each over a plum half.
Sprinkle some cinnamon over your fruits.

Step 3
Bake your fruits and cheese.
Take out and drizzle with maple syrup or honey. Arrange the grapes next to the fresh fruits and serve immediately.

Serving
Initially I saw this fall-baked brie with fruit as a dessert-only dish. Paul loved it for brunch.
So, either way, you can serve them as a special brunch, for Mother's Day, for example, or as a sweet, light dessert after a heavy holiday meat main course.

Storing
This dish should be prepared fresh only. Leftovers won't keep that well in the fridge.
You can prep the fresh ingredients in advance if you intend to make this for a party to save time while you are entertaining your guests, but keep in mind that the apples will brown. Sprinkle some lemon juice over your apples to keep them from turning brown.
