    Ingredients

    • 4 Coconuts with Meat and Water
    • 2 cup Pineapple Chunks
    • 2 Banana
    • Ice Cubes optional

    To decorate coconut (optional)

    • Red Food Coloring
    • Acrylic Paint to paint faces on the coconuts
    US - Metric

    Instructions

    • Crack the coconuts open (use one of these coconut opening options). Open it so that you can use the coconut as a cup. Collect the coconut water. We open coconuts with a machete. One or two blows at the right point are the best way to open a coconut.
4 Coconuts with Meat and Water

    To decorate coconut

    • Rinse and pat dry coconuts. Pour a few drops of red food coloring over the coconut meat to make it appear like blood.
      Red Food Coloring
    • Paint faces with the acyclic paint on the outer coconut wall (not the inner edible coconut meat and drinking area!). This is purely a decorative part.
      Acrylic Paint

    For the Juice

    • Place pineapple chunks, coconut water and banana into a blender and blend to a smooth juice.
2 cup Pineapple Chunks, 2 Banana
    • Strain the juice through a fine mesh and collect the juice in a bowl.
    • Pour the strained juice into the decorated coconut and serve up. Ice cubes are optional.

    Notes

The serving quantity of your mocktail depends on the size of your coconuts. Some coconuts can take more quantity and are larger.
Other coconuts come with fresh raw coconut flesh (not hard and white coconut flesh on the inside but jelly-like young coconut) and both can be used to make this drink.

Dassana, we don't celebrate the American Halloween either in central Europe. We roman Catholics have the all souls day (not sure if its called like that in English). The difference is that we don't have kiddish trick or treats round abouts, we go to the cemetery on the 1st and 2nd of nov to honor our ancestors. The tradition hails back from the Celts -> Shamhain. It marks a new year in ancient times and its the beginning of the cold season and ends (actually) at carnival just before the fasting season. They say the daemons awaken in this period and their peak time is on the 5th of December when the daemons come down the mountains to take the naughty kids and on the 6th saint nicolas (santa clause) comes to reward the good kids, but thats another story... ^.^

I always found Halloween fun because of the creativity involved. =)

=D yep all the way! Those are locally grown bananas from the neighborhood. They have a darker yellow shade, are a bit slimy and have much more flavor. My husband won't eat any other bananas...
