Cashew fruit juice is prepared with the fruits of the more widely known cashew seeds. If you have a bunch of cashew fruits, make this juice from scratch.
Remove the seed pod from the fruits and keep aside (you can fire roast cashew seed pods). Rinse your cashew fruits carefully, they are super delicate.
10 Cashew Fruits
Cut off about ½ inch (1 centimeter) of the top of your cashew fruit (the opposite side of where the seed pod was attached), as this part of the fruit is astringent. Cut the cashew apple in two and cut out the brown fruit part where the seed pod was attached. Repeat the process with all fruits.
Place the fruits into a blender jar with the salt (optional), sugar (optional), and water. Blend to a smooth juice.
10 Cashew Fruits, pinch Salt, Sugar, 1½ Cup Water
Place a large fine-mesh strainer over a bowl and pour a batch of the juice into the strainer to filter the juice, and to collect the pure juice in the bowl. Help out with a spoon or silicone spatula so that the juice falls through the sieve and doesn't get clogged with the fibers in the strainer.
Pour the strained juice into a serving glass and add ice if you want your fruit juice cooled.

Notes
Salt helps balance out the strong unique flavors of cashew fruits, and it adds minerals. Cashew fruits are eaten in the summer heat with salt to add minerals to the diet because your body perspires and loses more minerals in the heat.
