Today I ll be guest posting over at Cafe Terras Blog about Duxelles stuffed Tomatoes, a french originated recipe.
My late grandmother used to prepare this dish, I picked up the recipe later on, since I valued it a lots.
Duxelles is the name of a recipe which consist of Onion, Mushroom and Parsley as base ingredients.
This mushroom farce can be supplemented with ham or even cream and it is used as stuffing and in sauces.
It seams that a french chef invented this farce in the 17 th, called Francois Pierre La Varenne.
I got the link from Wikipedia, check it out if you want because I thought it to be quite interesting.
My friend Terra, from Cafe Terra Blog, is a wonderful foodie friend of mine and I was so happy when she asked me to guestpost for her.
